FAQ
Answers to silly resume questions:

Your Resume is Massive - Did you really do all that?
Aside from the part about killing the Wicked Witch of the East by dropping a house on her...

Yes - I've done all those things you see on my resume.  In fact, before I left IBM I had to be rated on  all of the skills you see there by management.  So yes, everything on there has actually been verified on actual engagements. There isn't even any wiggle room or "kinda" I actually had to obtain that skill.

But even before that I've always been a bit fanatical about learning new technologies.  On average I learn between 3 and 5 software systems every year. My current love is XAML using Expression Blend to play with it. Although I may have an affair with XNA soon. (She's a fetching Lassie that one!!)

I've been really blessed with a hyperkinetic drive toward life.  I had my first paying job at the age of 12, and due to my families financial condition - usually had 2-3 jobs from the age of 16 on until.  I really don't know any other way of life.

Heres some of the jobs that I've done that aren't on my resume:

-Oil Field Laborer / Construction / Heavy Equipment
(Forklifts, Backhoe, Motor Grader, Bulldozer, Frontend Loaders)

-Pipeline Radiologist (X-ray Technician)
Crankout style cameras!  Old timer stuff.  No wussy electrical devices like in the hospital - we used real live radioactive isotopes.  We had to calculate our exposure with a tape measure and calculator. Yes... I've often wondered why no one ever stays in that job long.

-Short Order Cook
No - this is not the same as the time I was a Chef... that was later.  Short Order Cooks get it to you fast - a Chef gets it   to you good.  (A valuable distinction for anyone to learn).

-Fast Food Manager
"Welcome to Artic Circle... can I take your order?" - And yes I had to wear the Polar Bear costume for kids parties... I know the meaning of Hell - I have seen it first hand.

-Security Gaurd
(Yes I did actually carry a gun.  And here's some advice - any job that requires you to carry a fire arm?  Is not worth the money they will pay you.

-Bonded Courier
1.5 Million Dollar Bond to carry loan documents to banks.  Sounds so much cooler than "I carried papers.".  Yes, I have seen the "Transporter" movies... no... no one who's a courier is actually like that.

-Radio DJ/Newscaster
1360 AM Radio - KRKK Rock / 96.5 KQSW County

- Asst. Property Master (Film)

(Film Credit - Not much credit but it is an actual theatrcially released film with stars like Viggo Mortenson.  It's absolutely horrible - but I loved working on it.  I've also done special effects for other smaller films but this was my coming out party.

My official entry in the IMDB is here:  http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0415957/

- Rural Postal Carrier (Mailman)

I am actually not only capable of going Postal, I have done so and am approved to do so by the US Governement.

- Ghost Writer
Believe it or not - I used to from time time write speeches for politicians, seminars and an inspirational speaker.  Sorry... I had to make the text hard to read - it's just too good a gag to pass up.

-
Electricial Apprentice
No, I will not rewire your hot tub, garbage disposal or your rec room.

Why all the jobs?

I lived in Wyoming most of my life.  You either get good at locating jobs when the economy changes... or you don't have jobs when the economy changes.  :-)

Who did your resume?

I did it. In the Libray. With the candlestick.(HA! You thought it was Col. Mustard didnt you!!)

I don't use agencies and yes I know it's not in proper format, and yes I know it's too long and yes... I know you can offer me a great price to re-write it.  Please don't.  If I see an offer from someone to do so - I will delete your email and place your address in my spam listings.

Can I get your resume it in another format?

Yes. Here are alternate formats from on my Skydrive.  You can access them from the Resume Download link on the left or by clicking below...

How do I contact...
<Insert Famous Person Name Here> – and I would know that why??

People see in my LinkedIn profile that I worked in movies.  If you look up my IMDB record you can see I once worked with Viggo Mortenson, and some other fairly big name actors, directors and producers of note.

A question that comes up from this is "Can you get me <Viggo Morteson>, <Kane Hodder>, etc., Autograph...".

And no - I can't.
Okay ... Actually - I probably could, but anyone could and anyone can. You don't need me, or anyone else.

I have some great stories from our time together I'm more than willing to share - but we're not close.  Just because you work with someone does not make you close.

It's not like we exchange Christmas cards.  (Although frankly - I probably should.  They were great people to hang with back in the day and both are a serious hoot)

Now... having said that - here is how you get their autographs:

To contact Viggo - I would suggest you contact his agent, who when last I checked was:

                Jenny Rawlings, Creative Artists Agency
9830 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA 90212-1825

To conact Kane Hodder (aka "Jason", aka "Michael Myers")

Kane Hodder Fan Club
1125 Lindero Canyon Blvd. Suite A8
                   Westlake Village, CA 91362

Both are very approachable ... hmmm, considering todays world stalkers and whatnot - that's not a good word I'd use ... Let's try ... "Both of them are very cool guys and enjoy fans (who are not jerks)".

Kane, I believe may have a foggy recollection of me,  I'm not sure if it's because he used to lift weights outside our prop room and we'd chat.   Viggo I'm pretty sure remembers me about on the same level I remember  my 4th grade math teacher ... this kind of blurry face without a name.

Which is good enough for me.  I have one memory of  him in particular, sketching wonderful pictures while we set up shots.  I asked him if I could see and he was so - incredibly shy but sharing.  The guys one heck of an artist - and a very modest and humble man.

Anyway - just send off your request to find out how you'd get an autograph and I'm sure these people can help you out with it.

 Me?  Movies?  Again?  You bet.

I haven't done anything with movies in a very very long time - but I'm still an avid lover of the art - so I am slowly breaking out the camera to get behind it again slowly.  You may notice that I've actually got a few links up and slowly but surely I'm doing more effects and titling stuff.

I plan as soon as possible to start getting more and more samples up for people to see, and working on some short films and stories.

Telling visual stories is something I enjoy - and lord knows the world needs one more video story teller right?   I actually plan on doing this when I retire by specialising in documentaries around the globe.  But for now - it's more of a fun thing I do, and it's fascinating to see how traditional video media - and the Information Media are merging.
