As "Mike November"...
Mike November was the name I wrote under during the period of 1997-2002 (roughly) attaining his highest acclaim around 2000, through a series of short articles in gonzo journalism style attacks on our culture and the way it interacted with each other, and technology. Since much of the Internet publishing in those days was fraught with disastrous efforts - many of my works are now in a state that I legally have to fight to get the rights to them back.
If you're looking for reprints of:
"It's not my dog...", Mrs. Grundy Vs. The Dragon" or "Dinner with Deadmen", are no longer in print and the company that purchased them is no longer around. I'll probably roll them into a seperate book series called "November Notes" once I have the rights to them again...
THE MILDTHING CHRONICLES:
Around 2001 I began chronicling the efforts of a lone conspiracy theory driven paranormal bounty hunter (who may or may not have been insane) by the name of "MildThing", loose based on real people. As a result of the popularity of this character an entire series of semi-humorous horror stories began, which - depending on commitments - may be rolled into a forthcoming novel. Details of these stories to follow below...
Updates & other News:
I expect to begin the final draft of "The Mildthing Chronicles: Volume 4"
2nd Draft - yeah, yeah, more violence, more bang-bang, more boom-boom, more humor at the expense of the PTB... it's coming - but gotta get some work done too!
I will confirm the following stories will be in it:
- No Porpoise, No Future - 1996
Mildthing's "first" printed adventure - getting into Area 51 and kidnapping an Alien isn't the hard part - its learning that where you stand in the universe, depends largely on where you were standing when the tide came in.
- For the Puppies - 2001
Offering yourself up to a wolf for dinner while dying of blood loss always seems like a bad plan for survival. But when you're the Mildthing - being eaten by a wolf just means that it's part o a larger plan... provided you live long enough to see it through.
- Trashday in Shambalah - 2002
What do you do when you find out that Fate really does have it in for you? Mildthing throws down against the forces of the universe - whether he wants to or not.
- Roses for Mr. Rafferty - 2004
Silas Rafferty was a wonderful man that everyone loved. He died quietly in his sleep, at the end of a long and uneventful life. That's where most stories end. But for Silas and Mildthing - it's just the begining.
- All my Sins Dismembered - 1999
Remember your first kiss? Your first love? Your first serial-killer-psycho-vampire-street-gang-army? Ahh yes... those halcyon days of youth that just never seem to die - and if Mildthing's first love has anything to say about it - neither will he.
- Thirty Days Hath November - 2002
Mikey's got something inside him that's just bursting to get out - and take the universe with it. Mildthing has 30 days to uncover the philosophical mystery of why Mike November doesn't really exist - or Fate will step in and defuse the situation permanently.
But the rest are a secret I'm taking to my grave or the publisher.
Here's a few previews from "Roses for Mr. Rafferty" ... and yes... these are storyboard mockups and not finals. Finals should be a lot more detailed and cleaner.

One of the more interesting bits about doing a Graphic Novel is that I can actually let the visual tell the story which is very new to me. But there's a level of trust that the artist is going to actually give me what I want I'm having to work with.
Trust... is not easy with these stories. :-)
